- Designed the issuance of Eurobonds for Côte d’Ivoire on international capital markets;
- Taken in charge issues related to macroeconomic areas.
2014-2017: Deputy Director, with the rank of Director, Statistics Department of the Central Bank of West African States
- Participated in
the coordination of the Statistics Department’s activities, consisting in
particular in the monitoring of economic indicators, the preparation of
the regional balance of payments and issues related to the Central Information Unit;
- Established a regional credit bureau for the 8 member states of West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU);
- Contributed to the development of a quarterly regional GDP indicator;
2012-2014: Deputy Director, Financial Stability Department of the
Central Bank of West African States
- Participated in
the coordination of the Department’s activities, including the
organization of macroprudential supervision, the development of payment
systems regulation and the development of regulations of credit and
microfinance institutions;
- Designed Key
financial indicators, the West African Monetary Union (WAMU) early warning
system and the mechanism for conducting bank stress tests;
- Implemented the
deposit insurance mechanism and the WAMU clearing guarantee fund and
elaborated regulatory measures concerning pensions and primary dealers.
2009-2012: Head, Credit Institutions Regulation Division, Financial
Stability Department, Central Bank of West African States
- Established and coordinated the Financial Stability Committee of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU);
- Led the monitoring and coordinated of the work of the Division, updating banking regulations, banking code, legal requirements in terms of
accounting practices, and prudential rules for banks ;
- Monitored the implementation of the IMF/World Bank
Financial Sector Assessment Program of the WAEMU region.
2005-2009: Representative, BCEAO Representation to European Cooperation Institutions, Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO), Paris, France.
- Led the financial, administrative and operational
management of BCEAO Representation to the European Cooperation Institutions,
including supervision of staff;
- Developed and wrote newsletters analyzing the economic
and financial situation of the European
Union and WAEMU, and determined the
implications for the
economies of West African States;
- Provided analytical notes to serve as a
guideline for
improving and strengthening the Bank’s future strategic
directions;
2003-2005: Head of the Macroeconomic
Analysis and Monetary Programming Unit, Research Department, Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO), Dakar,
Senegal.
- Led the Unit
with responsibilities including the development of monetary policy
guidelines, the design and implementation of monetary programs, and the analysis
of the outcomes of the monetary policy objectives
- Designed reports on the Bank’s activities, including reports to the WAEMU
Heads of State
- Participated actively in the work of the Committee for the revision
of the basic texts of the BCEAO and West African Monetary Union
- Performed macroeconomic analysis and assessed its connection with the Bank’s monetary policy
